I've never managed to get through a whole book in the Bible, but I'm attempting the Book of Daniel because I enjoyed Walton's Belshazzar's Feast so much.

I also read books in parallel, abandoning many along the way: I recently reduced my currently-reading list from 39 to 20 this way. Must be done to avoid it getting out of hand 🙂 .

It's an amazing read

It's apocryphal though, so you need the Jerusalem Bible to get it (catholic version)
