It's a trap with 1/0 time controls. You actually have to move more often than once a day to be safe from timeout. Say I always move at 2pm and my opponent moved at 2.05pm yesterday. If I'm distracted by something at 2pm and make my move just 10 minutes later than yesterday he has the opportunity to take the skull. I always create my quick games as 1/3 for just that reason.
