I can't seem to find the proper setting to make games private. Can anyone help?

There are no private games here.

It's kind of funny that there is a "Public Games" icon then.

You would hardly have an icon for "Private Games" as it would defeat the purpose of being private 😵

I think in the very early days there were options to select private games as well as public. I could be wrong about that however, since I have only played public games.

Maybe some of the other 'old-timers' would know, or Russ could tell us what happened to the private game option. My guess is that it wasn't used very much so it was dropped.

just to clarify (in case this was what you meant):

any chat made during the game between opponents is always private - other people cannot view any of the messages made in game.

the moves however will always be open for public scrutiny

Private games (games hidden from all but the participants) did exist once, yes, but were removed years ago.
