I stick them, proudly, in my car at least once and most often, twice a week and head to the course. People laugh until they see me play...then they roll on the ground. 😉

I tease you, but I've only played the game a few times to be honest.

I have played for 60+ years and for the first 15 I stuck to it religiously and without seeming to blow my own horn was very good at it. I'm still "pretty good" but don't play nearly as much as I did back then. Maybe 2 times a week (in season). It like chess is a game you can play for a very long time. My dad only stopped a few (4) years ago and he'll be 99 in August.

Ever wonder if Miss STG says "lol" when she laughs on the phone during conversations with her family and friends?

I feel certain that she most certainly does stick to that action.

i am contemplating the possibility that miss STG will, someday, in the not too distant future, have a 10,000th post on page 1

i admit to some pang of anticipation
like seeing the odometer of a car approaching the 999 . . . something or other mileage

i'll not get caught up in that, though
i know that it's just another number

i am not, in fact, going to pay it any attention
i am committed to making no mention of it

there now
just let this pass

unnoticed

have you ever noticed her speedometer?
wonder if it's stuck on \ or | or /

i am not looking
i have no idea what it reads
i am sure that it is stuck somewhere
but it doesn't matter
because i will not look
i will take no notice
i won't even comment
i am not even going to be present (i mean in the attentive sense)
i commit to a degree of aloofness
i'll be minding my own business
i'll be making chess moves
i'll be watching a drip of tar drop
i'll be paying bills online
i'll be deleting spam emails
i'll be doing just about anything
but i won't be getting at all engaged in the STG 10,000th move silliness
there's absolutely not point to that whatsoever
no one can say that that is anything but another number
just a number
a number without significance
i think

Well what sticks in my mind then is an old shirt I have had for low these past 40 years that my partner keeps trying to throwing in the garbage and I keep rescuing. It's sticky, from all the stuff I've dropped on it. It's gamy, because I'm afraid to wash it and it's thready, because I used to wash it too often.

Perhaps Marion would handle the laundering of your "old shirt" with care....
