I have met two RHP members one no longer plays on here.
I do remember, that was back in Sept/Oct 2016 right? Sorry we weren't able to connect. Maybe next time.

I won't be able to make that one as two days later I'll be in Cuba. Hang on a sec...Lima's in South America and Cuba is in the Caribbean. Maybe I could fly from here to Lima on the 11th and "catch" a flight from Lima to Cayo Coco. Hang on....I doubt that there are airlines that do that...ya know, "You can't get there from here". πŸ™ Oh well maybe next time eh?

Sure, it's only about 800 miles. I went there once before but it was closed.

I have met Kewpie, and still have fond memories.

And I met two other members from germany who are not on the site anymore.
I attended a meet-up of another chess-site in Prague (Czech Republic) that was fine.

I would like to meet most people here. If ther was a meeting in Europe I could make most places if I had a few weeks notice.

Several were held in England and Ireland. There were pictures, etc. Check the link below.

There were also one or two held in the US. I remember seeing pictures of those as well, but they never made it for storage on the RHP web site.

Think about this. It might be interesting!

Instead of trying to put together one big 'international meet-up', divide it up into time zones, pick a likely central city within each zone,
and see if that would get more interest in participation from members who are in or close to that zone or city.

Members who are within the same zone could communicate with each other and decide which city in the zone would be a most likely spot.
They could also venture out to other zones meet-ups if they are within a reasonable distance.

    Anyway, that's my 2-cents worth.

Thanks a lot. I'm in New England in the same time zone as Nunavut, Canada,
where the temperature today is 25 below zero. Never mind wind chill.
