It’s incredible to think that in 2002 Facebook was still two years away and e-mail was lotus notes.

Edit: or was lotus notes the 90s? Either way, I’m old.

Erm. Even in 2002 and in 1995, email was POP3 and any decent mail program such as Pegasus. Or, if you were unlucky, Outhouse Express.
Lotus Notes was a whole Enterprise Communication Experience or some such buzzwords, which communicated only poorly with real email. Most people I know were spared it.
