The punter/ kicker position seems overpaid until you realize that teams generally don't have backups at this position... I think they should average what the starters make at each position. For instance, most teams will have two high paid defensive ends but only one high paid QB or TE.


Tight Ends. They play a key role as part of the receiving core, as well as the blocking corps.

I think these averages are deceptive. TE is one of the positions of depth on the offense but the second and third string don't make nearly as much as the starter and TEs tend to be more durable so the backups don't get paid as much as a backup WR.

Bruce Arians is a surprise for me given that he was actually the interim head coach of the team and that Chuck Pagano finished second. That's gotta be a first.
