I have got to be the biggest procrastinator in the world.

It's a beautiful Saturday afternoon, but instead of cycling, or playing tennis, or doing anything fun, I'm at work.

Why? Because I am way behind on annual reviews (we call them EPRs) for the people I manage. Human Resources is mad at me, my management up the chain is mad at me. But I simply hate doing them. I start writing, and every sentence I say "maybe I should check my email", "a few minutes on RHP won't hurt", "my coffee cup is empty".

I'm making something that should take a few hours last forever. You would think I could just focus, finish them, and go out and play. But no!

So, please ban me for the afternoon - removing one option for procrastinating. What word do I have to type to get a 5 hour ban?

Yeah, I know. It started getting too depressing to summarize a day when every third post was from Red Night.

I would think I would have learned better self-discipline by age 49.

Yeah, sad, I know.

I remember my senior year in college, the night of my Advanced Calculus final I just couldn't make myself study, no matter what I did. I ended up playing pinball all night - no studying, no sleep - got an "A".

Too bad there are no elves to do these review for me ....

...unless, maybe the GF members would help me write them. I'll toss out a name, and you submit a paragraph about what he did good or bad. Let's start with "Jim".

Although he faced many challenges this year, Jim continued to keep his department productive. He remains a valuable team member and asset to our organization.
