In an another thread FMF cites a number for the casualties in the Vietnam War (which I think is an understatement) but just for the fun of it I did a google search on that topic:
When I looked into the first hit I almost fell out of my chair: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_people_died_in_the_Vietnam_War
The people of South Vietnam didn't even got a mention! South Vietnam was heavily bombed by US troops (South Vietnam and Cambodia were more heavily bombed than all countries combined during WWII- yep and that is counting with Hiroshima and Nagasaki ) and the people that lived there were just miraculously untouched I guess.

Well I happen to know that South Vietnam was more heavily bombed. Not just South Vietnam, but Cambodia and Laos (that were neutral countries by the way).

Laos is the most heavily bombed country in the world. More bombs have fallen on Laos than all the ordnance dropped on Europe during WWII.

I think that the proper way to say it is that was called Indochina is the most heavily bombed country in the world. But the most part of it fell on Cambodia and SV, isn't it?

Nope.
Laos is the most bombed, in terms of tonnage, country in the world.
Originally posted by Proper Knob The guy is incorrect.
7,000,000 tons is the total for the whole war, not just what was droped on Vietnam as he is suggesting.
7000000-2000000= 5000000
And most of the 5000000 fell on South Vietnam and Cambodia, right?
Edit: from the youtube link I provided "The still-incomplete database (it has several "dark" periods) reveals that from October 4, 1965, to August 15, 1973, the United States dropped far more ordnance on Cambodia than was previously believed: 2,756,941 tons' worth, dropped in 230,516 sorties on 113,716 sites."
