1. Spend your money on yourself.
2. Spend your money on someone else.
3. Spend someone elses' money on someone else.

Which of these three generally results in the most efficient way to spend money and which is the worst, can they be applied to everyday examples.

Best and most efficient way is to allow government the ability to control the way that Wajoma spends his money, making sure that his monetary activity does not disturb the bigger picture of really cool capital normalization and general economic levelling...😛

For virtually all economic activity - consumerism, investment and entrepreneurship - No.1

For government services, institutions, collective roles and infrastructure - No.3

For charitable activity and political activism - No.2

The crux of No.3 - the political debate, essentially - is the how much, the who for, the why, and the does it work?

I am OK with that.

But as a staunch conservative I favor restraint in terms of No.3 and privatisation - or public-private initiatives at the very least - whenever possible.

I'm going to restart the thread with the the number 4. So how does what you spend money on alter these 4 criteria.

A person can put their own value on that good, what it is worth to them, then we can work out what it has cost them then place those into one of the four catergories.
