I learned chess as a young boy in Angleton, Texas, but rarely played until the Fischer/Spassky match-Iceland 1972. I started playing Correspondence Chess by mail thru the USCF about 28 years ago, but later found their email chess a little disappointing.
Tournament Entry Rating is calculated by the formula (CurrentRating + HighestRating) / 2. The entry rating will never drop to more than 100 points below your Highest Rating.
