You do realise how ineffective a retort this is to the points I made, don’t you?

Each leaving historical evidence pointing towards Christ, from the same time and place. They wrote about Him, in different times and places in different languages and all of those documents were copied and shared around the world making them available for comparison so no one could control the text.
    Good grief kellyjay.

The texts in the bible are not “evidence”.

And they have all been “controlled” changed and modified to suit.

You really need to stop making assertions like this as it just makes you look silly. And I say this as a Christian myself.

How do you focus on God? Do you know where to look, and who this God really is, provided He even exists?

I thought it was a nice suggestion. You could kill two birds with one stone. You could sit in front of the fireplace, getting your body cozy and warn, and at the same time you could have warm memories of your longtime twin, since he has departed. You could color his face blue, and it would be blue on blue. I'll bet you can't get over not having a twin around here anymore.

If it's plaster, why not have a talented painter do a fresco on it? Perhaps the colorful face of your twin, FMF, with his corny crown.
You seem upset again tonight PettyTalk.

I quit smoking altogether in 2004, can't believe it is 20 years later already. Drinking 32 years ago seems like a life time ago now. I wish I had never started either of them now.

I quite smoking decades ago but “treated” myself on holiday. Now I’m bloody well addicted to a vape 🤦‍♂️

    I’ll never learn.

The blue looks good to me.
    I’ll tell the missus Gravy.

Maybe do a voice note that effect in our group and I’ll play it to her.

My brother-in-law and I were very close knew him for many decades, been gone now for a couple years going on 3 and I still miss him and pick up the phone to call him.

I can't imagine what it must be like for fmf, it will take time he will be back when and IF he is ready I am sure.

He’s actually in fine fettle despite the grief, but he just can’t be arsed with this place. I get it.

But I miss his posting; love or loathe his persona here, his posting was quality content.

Cigarillo occasionally with my then partner.
My wife used to smoke what she called “cigarillos” when I first met her; in fact they were these somewhat pretentious cigarettes call “More”.

This is sort of what we have. And I want to paint it Oxford blue.

I’m sorry if this is boring LOL, but I would appreciate some interior decor thoughts.

Do you plan to do it like this, with a contrasting mantlepiece?
So imagine ALL the walls in our house smooth painted plaster in a lighter colour than that in the Pinterest photo and we now want to incorporate some feature colour.

So we have large (for the uk) chimney breast with a wood burner instead of the original traditional open fireplace, and a fake/composite oak beam above. Other than that it’s just plain except for a chunky mirror above.

What I would like to do is paint the chimney breast Oxford blue, similar to that photo. But I’m getting resistance from the missus who thinks it a bit bold and a bit masculine.

Edit.. no we don’t have the traditional fire surround. We took that out as it wasn’t great tbh.
