Joined 22 Apr '05 Moves 655826 Each and every day I learn something new. I was taught in material science that defects propagate at the speed of sound with a clear scientific reasoning. Now I see that this thesis has been disporved:

And a BIG applause for the technique to actually measure the velocity in the diamond!

Does that mean it is actually faster than the velocity of soundwaves in diamond?
I couldn't get that link to work.
