You just don't have a mirror high enough.....

Originally posted by @moonbusNo, I was talking about a retrograde mirror, it shows things exactly as you would view them, not backwards......Make one big enough and high enough (the mirror, that is), aimed right and in the daytime anyway, you will see Italy or any other country out there.

If I get up on my roof to see the moon, the dam trees are in the way......

and NASA doesn't reveal their own measurements regarding the moon being hollow..

No, we're going to need a bigger vessel. Something that can carry a few dozen people to a Lunar ecpedition. Maybe something like a... moonbus?
Originally posted by @moonbusLet's see. If it is 3000 miles high in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, that would be a circle about 18000 miles around and the hubble chops up a circle into 25 million parts (0.05 arc seconds of res) So if the hubble were to be in line with the retrograde mirrors you would be able to see features about 4 inches across so yes.

Originally posted by @moonbusIf all you want is to see Italy from your roof, yes. If you want to see it from your windows, you'll need to bring them, as well.
Just the roof?
