Apparently bats seem to be virus generators, when transmitted to humans, we have no immunity built in so lots of people die before it mutates to a less deadly version. Those viruses don't want to kill hosts because it tends to stop the transmission so it mutates to less deadly varieties and so inserts itself into our DNA basically.
