Joined 16 Feb '08 Moves 116912 I’m a huge fan of baked beans. Heinz is my preference.
Hot on their own, on toast, with egg, with sausages and mash.
Or cold straight out of the tin or, if I’m feeling posh, in a dish.
Your thoughts on cold baked beans in particular...?

Your thoughts on cold baked beans in particular...?Prefer them hot,
but have eaten them cold,
the poor man's caviar,
...so I've been told.

never cold/ worked with a carpet fitter that ate beans with every meal even his christmas dinner.Squashed baked beans on a carpet - very messy.
Now I prefer the cheaper Aldi Corale baked beans, the sauce isn’t too thick and rich and the beans are firm.

Goad is correct it is the poor mans meal.
We ate them alot as kids. Beans made you fart. I remember we would have them on a Saturday and go to Church on Sunday and have a Farting contest. Give me a break we were just kids!!! 😉

Your thoughts on cold baked beans in particular...?Shouldn't a serious topic like this be in Debates?
(Or even Spirituality for those that enjoy them for Sunday breakfast)

(Or even Spirituality for those that enjoy them for Sunday breakfast)Well it was initially based on a comment by Shav in debates, but I thought I’d bring the core here as I didn’t want to start a thread over there that could create a rift in the left v right continuum.
