HAD NEVER PLAYED CHESS UNTIL DEC 2002 AGED 42½. ENCOURAGED BY MY BROTHER, I PLAYED AGAINST KIDS ON THE INTERNET ALL OF WHOM KNEW MORE THAN ME. THEN I WON A GAME AND WAS CONSUMED WITH GUILT AT POSSIBLY HAVING BROKEN THE HEART OF SOME 5 YEAR OLD IN SOME REMOTE VILLAGE HALF WAY UP THE HIMALAYAS.
