I'm 99.58% sure that my stated rating is considerably higher than my actual ability to play chess. I would be one hundred percent sure of this, but it would require an additional .42% surety... and... well, if I had that, I'd have the answer to life the universe and everything. 🙂
Personally, I really enjoy chess. Personally I really *hate* the timebank. I only accept challenges with zero timebank and a maximum of 3 days timeout. If you're willing to challenge someone, you should have the courtesy to be around long enough to finish the match without expending 10 days, while your opponent waits on your move. It's just plain rude and inconsiderate.
If you send me an email BEFOREHAND and let me know that you'll be gone, or busy, or drunk, then I will be willing to wait on your return... no questions asked:
Seriously, just shoot me a message that says: "Hey me and my mates are getting sloshed for my best buddy's bachelor party. I won't be able to even function until next week."
I'm cool with that... but I simply ask that you let me know beforehand.
P.S. I also consider it extremely dishonorable to take a skull when I'm losing by a significant margin, so I usually won't steal a win that way (unless the timeout is excessive.) Otherwise, skulls make me happy. :-)
