I'm playing in an Octet and I have noticed that Player A has resigned both their games against Player B without playing a single move. That gives Player B an automatic 6 points and makes them harder to beat. I have no idea why they've done it. They are playing their other games.

@orangutan Thanks for pointing that out. I wish l didn't know that but now I see that nowadays Player A always resigns in favour of Player B. Very odd.

If he is resigning before the games start against only one player, probably he has them on ignore and just doesn't want to play that opponent.
Annoying but nothing you can do.
If you want to see proper sandbagging in action check out Farzad Farsee. So many tournaments he just resigns mid way through the games... Other tournaments he wins easily.
I usually only enter tournaments when they are almost full.
That way,if I see anyone who looks suspicious or whom I don't want to play,I don't enter.
I may "miss" some tournaments this way but there's always another one.
