I play chess frequently. I'm not a *great* player, and I often overlook the small things that can cost me a game... Apparently, even moreso on this 2D board... I much prefer an ACTUAL board, makes a huge difference.
However, Lady Luck does tend to smile on me, and I'm known to make BIG comebacks.
I play to win. I don't do this "Play to not lose" thing... However, I also know when to throw in the towel. No sense in continuing a lost cause, discresion is the better part of valour!
Now, on to about me as a person, not a chess player:
I am a husband, and a father. I have a beautiful daughter, she's the light of my life, and LOVES chess pieces.
I am a semipro musician, in the band "Flightless Phoenix." I do guitar and vocals.
I play guitar, bass, drums, some keyboards, cello, and a bit of harmonica. I'm also pretty darn decent at the vibraphone.
I have four electric guitars, four electric basses, two cellos (I'm restoring both), an acoustic guitar, an electric drum pad, and a chord organ.
