After 50 years of playing chess, I've decided that I'm in it for the fun. Hey, if I can't even win my club championship, I'm probably not going to able to compete with Kramnik or Anand or whoever is on top these days. Therefore, I play too many games, move too quickly, and listen more often to my sense of humor rather than my sense of reason. My only real chess skill, honed through years of incessant practice, is swindling my way out of lost positions. I'm still not very good at it.
