I completely missed this move during play and puts White in a stronger position than if I had played Qc5 for example.

Is this better than any other move? c5 looks good but I wanted to keep the tension going and Ne7 holds my self together very well with options to expand and/or castle. The long diagonal is still open and becomes more potent as the game progresses! In my humble opinion this is one of the better moves I played in this game.

A very restricting position but not many alternatives to the move played.

Although at first site this looks like a naughty fun move, there are many possibilities for both sides to go wrong and it is the type of move that makes chess so fascinating and inventive. The whole outcome of the game hinges on the next few moves!

I spent quite a while analysing bxa3 and concluded that Rxa4 left White in a superior position. I could be wrong. The text leaves the game in that deliciously unbalanced board that I enjoy playing. My end-game has won me many a game I maybe should not have won!
I didn't get this move at first, but then I was so blinkered by now into winning the end-game I hadn't realised there was a mating net. How many times have we all missed that "mate in one" over the board?
