They practice in the mud and rain. They don't draft superstars, they draft hard workers. They don't go there to have fun, they go there to win. Love them, or hate them, you have to respect Belichick and the Patriots

I grew up in Boston in the 60's. I am a big Patriot fan., used to listen on the radio every Sunday. Back then the 2 worst teams were the Saints and Patriots. Whenever I hear anyone say that they hate the Pats I remind them that they paid their dues for many years. After all, their first Super Bowl was 2001. I was rooting for a Brady vs Brees SB this year.

2001 Was our first win. We lost a well played Super Bowl to the Packers in the late 90's, but the one I will never forget was in 85, when we were a wild card team, and played the Jets, Raiders, and Dolphins all on the road, and won them all. This was 1985 or January 1986, we had not beaten the Dolphins at home since 1969, thats 16 or 17 years, kind of like what we do to the Bills now......to win those 3 games on the road, it took a turnover differential of +12! Tahs right, those 3 teams collectively gave us the ball on turnovers 12 more times than we did. Our reward was to have to go to the Super Bowl and play the arguably best single-season defense put together in the history of pro football, the Bears. And they slaughtered us 46-10. And it wasnt even THAT close
