My hopes were with both England & NZ through the
competition so very excited with the final. I feel really
gutted for NZ, what a way to lose!

My question is "Why not share the trophy?" Are we
so obsessed with winners and losers we cannot face
    what seems right & fair?

The Super Over is lottery enough but deciding it on
boundaries? Was that part of either team's strategy?
Of course not. May as well have tossed a coin!

To be fair, a slightly hollow victory for England. Like winning on penalties at football (soccer)
But, to be honest, totally eviscerting the Aussies in the semi final was worth the whole tournament
New Zealand play sport in the way it is meant to be played. Worthy opponents. Great game.

A real sport, none of your schoolboy rounders games. Stop interrupting the adults.

What is a real sport shallow? What are schoolboy games, can you be more specific?

How many years did you play this real sport?

I have never understood people who get excited about watching others compete.

If you've played the game yourself, it is interesting to see where the skill level is in this day and age. For example I played hockey and other sports, but hockey was my game of choice. I follow it to this day, and see the changes in the skill level and conditioning of players compared to back in the time I played. Also understand the game better, than sports I am not so familiar with.

why wasn't the player of the tournament, Williamson (80+ run average), batting the golden over?

and they put trent bolt who went 66/0 to bowl the golden over. lol.

we lost cause we too stupid.

Same reason England didn't play Root, they usually take time to feel their ways into an innings, need quick power for a super over.

Why they put Trent into bowl I have no idea, what a stupid mistake. The best bowler you have is the one on form on the day and that wasn't him.

The free 4 runs and Trent having the game in his hand only to fall over the boundary? 😲 Incredible ending.

    Because it's a world cup.

Tied after the first super over? Play another one. What a painfully dumb way to win/lose a world cup.

Most commentators agree that the NZ team
played the smartest cricket throughout the tournament.
