the mens form has always had more invested so that needs to change everywhere.

Teams winning league in england get much more that rest of europe.hence insane wages for average players
When same revenue comes in pay goes up..
In order for equal pay in sports the women would have to generate equal revenue.
That means the fans would have to be willing to pay the same ticket prices regardless of it being a male or female event.
People won't do that.
So the prices come down until people start to show up.
And... companies won't buy commercial time slots when they know less people watch female events.
So they pay less for those time slots.
People are NOT going crazy to see female events.
Women should be happy they have the fans they've got.
Golf does it correctly, IMO. You have the PGA (professional golf association) for the men and a totally separate organization, LPGA, for the women.
Revenue comes in from the men's events and they split it amongst the men, ditto for the women. There is no comingling of monies brought in.
Hehum… and then there is soccer. We have the US soccer Federation, with the two divisions, mens and womens. However, the monies are pooled into one pot.
Men, all I can say is,,,, you're SCREWED. the b'yotching will go on forever.
They made history, and every time they walk onto the field they are expected to win including the World Cup. What they did, and have done year after year, all these years is just amazing.
They deserve far more then what the men make. More people tune in to watch the woman bringing in God only knows how many millions, after it's done most likely billions in advertising spots.
They can easily afford to pay them so when they are done, they never have to worry about money again. I can't think of any sports team that is this dominate.
They deserve it. And good for the men for speaking up. Great Post. Well done.
