If it's "getting worse", then it is changing. If the internet is contributing to this change, then one cannot say that the impact of the internet is "none".
That's a logical argument and this is the Spirituality Forum!
    Get out!

Even though they have no real way of telling guided events from the unguided.
    Don't be silly.
All the good things are there thanks to god - where he has intervened.
e.g. All the food on your plate today, Peace, medicine.

All the bad things are where god hasn't intervened.
e.g. Starving children in Africa, War, horrible diseases.

    Easy--peasy

If, as I glean from your response, you are now saying that life and/or death are a series of random and accidental events, then I agree with you and we have accord, and I'm not blaming god for anything, since, as I have said before, I don't believe that there is one. My only issue has been your claim, within the context of your discussing the Beirut explosion, that yo ...[text shortened]... god was 'guiding the affairs of men'. If you are now saying that he wasn't, then we have agreement.
Not quite. God guides those lives that are important to his overall plan for mankind, and those lives that deserve his assistance. According to the bible those people who please God deserved his assistance, are guided by Him.

My statement about God guiding the affairs of men has nothing ot do with the incident in Beirut. The Beirut incident was just an example of how technology enables people to see events worldwide in a matter seconds.

You are an atheist and you will respond as such. I am a God fearing person so I will respond with my superior knowledge {LOL}. Thats a joke.

Unless the disease is AIDS - then it is God's punishment on homosexuals.

The lack of objective indicators of God's involvement is a plus; it means I get to ascribe [or not] whatever events I want to "God", when it's really just my own prejudices and biased view of the world talking. [Everybody's biased; it's just that it's healthier to admit it up front than pretend like you're the exception.]

Or COVID-19, which doesn’t exist of course, but is the Illuminati’s fear-tool for gaining control of our minds.

Bill Gates is helping with the vaccine deaths.
