@mister-moggy saidIf the "illusion" of proceeding to everlasting life in some other dimension gives solace and purpose in life, I think - in and of itself - it can be positive and do no harm. If it means people live their lives in what I see as being morally sound ways, then I welcome it.

It is OK.
In spite of all the humans that have tried and failed to see the truth - you are the one who has gotten it right.
May the odds ever be in your favor.
@mister-moggy saidIf God were alone, if there were no sentient beings in the universe, God would not create religion, for God has no need of it.

Heavenly Father created beings so that He could experience being loved. it takes two to create this moment. it requires free will to achieve this moment. without a second entitiy(ties) Heavenly Father could create love but could not experience it.
Hence, Heavenly Father created the "other", which is all else
that is not the original Heavenly Father, and ...[text shortened]... osmic. It is not God as mankind interprets it but is greater and beyond the definitions of mankind.
@mister-moggy saidA grave error in logic and reason.
