Approximately 2 billion of the top 10 books written by man have been published in the last 500 years, but the Bible, all by itself, has been published nearly 5 billion times, and their are close to 4 billion in circulation today.

In the 13th chapter of Mark Jesus gives the outline of events that will transpire in the near and far.

Verse two refers to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 a.d. The rest of the chapter deals with what has transpired since.

    Take note of verse 10.

    Mark 13:10
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

    Jesus is near. Wake up!

    Mark 13:36
Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

Is there anything practical or decisive you can add that moves this OP like beyond its 'preaching to the choir' nature?

When it comes to books, 'hope, wisdom, and excitement' sells. Which explains why the top 3 published books in the last 50 years are:

    1. The Bible
    2. Quotations from the Works of Mao Tse-tung
    3. Harry Potter

Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock and roll or Christianity.

'Preached' is from Matthew 24. Mark 13 has it as 'published'.

Overall, I prefer the Matthew version of the entire chapter.

Of course, I'm only speaking of the KJV.

What's the difference? The gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached and published more that anything else on the planet, and to more people.

Nothing you can do about it either except bicker over terms.

I see you replied to what divegeester said. I wonder if he'll respond by defending his faith against your degradation of the God he claims to believe in.

It’s only “bickering” when you’re the one who’s wrong, and you are wrong.

The difference between “preached“ and “published” is probably 1500 years and a printing press to you, you doofus.
