@philokaliasaid So you DO want to discuss this suddenly?
It's just that you want to discuss it only on your terms and ignore all of my other contributions, and keep trying to get me to argue with Christians?
Post what you want but if you are not a proponent of torturer god ideology - as I have defined it having heard it propagated here by some Christians on this forum - and if you are not willing to confront proponents of that torturer god ideology, then there's not much of interest to me that you can say. I don't ask divegeester or Suzianne to explain or defend the torturer god ideology.
So you don't want to discuss my concept of hell, right?
Post what you want. If people find it interesting, I'm sure they'll discuss it with you.
If you don't believe that the "damned" are tormented in burning flames for eternity, I'm not much interested.
What does interest me about you, though, is that you, in a rather pusillanimous way, prefer to air your ideological differences with other Christians by using an atheist like me as a proxy.
I was answering your questions and think my concepts of heaven and hell, while different with other Christians here, are not entirely different at all, and I accept that there are disagreements between us on these things.
And i endorse the concept that hell is eternal.
Which is why I'm not sure why I'm getting some kind of pass here...
Becsuse I do have a lot of disagreement with you, and little with the so called "torture God ideology" people.

Well the disagreement is no surprise. I am an atheist. I find the notion of humans being tormented for eternity in burning flames to be morally incoherent for the reasons I have given umpteen times. It's no surprise that you have "a lot of disagreement" with me. I'm ok with it.
