Vice President Mike Pence hopes South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg will offer more than attacks on his religious faith or the character of President Donald Trump as he embarks on his quest for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. ~ CNN
Interesting. Pete Buttigieg said Pence's views on homosexuality are between Pence and "the creator". That doesn't sound like an "atack" on Pence's faith.
And secondly, shouldn't people of the Christian faith be at least concerned about the character of President Donald Trump and isn't it right and proper that his character is an election issue?

Why is Buttigieg talking about Pence's faith? And what else did Buttigieg say about Pence's faith that CNN didn't report or that you failed to quote?
And secondly, shouldn't people of the Christian faith be at least concerned about the character of President Donald Trump and isn't it right and proper that his character is an election issue?
Everyone should be concerned about the character of anyone running for an elected office.
@secondsonsaid Why is Buttigieg talking about Pence's faith? And what else did Buttigieg say about Pence's faith that CNN didn't report or that you failed to quote?
Why is Buttigieg talking about Pence's faith?
Because Pence has used his faith to justify policies that seek to proactively discriminate against people like Buttigieg in the state they both live in.
And what else did Buttigieg say about Pence's faith that CNN didn't report or that you failed to quote?
I am sure I have "failed to quote" hundreds and hundreds of thousands of words, both spoken and written. Quote and analyze what you want. This is the thread for it.
Do you agree that people of the Christian faith should be concerned about the character of President Donald Trump and that it's appropriate for his character to be an election issue?

Why is Buttigieg talking about Pence's faith?
Because Pence has used his faith to justify policies that seek to proactively discriminate against people like Buttigieg in the state they both live in. Both men have placed their Christian faith front and centre in their political lives.

Pence can use his faith to justify any policy he chooses. It's who and what he is, and it's up to the people to decide whether or not he is qualified to hold office based on what forms the character of the man.
That Buttigieg would be so arrogant as to think he can decide that Pense's beliefs are between him and God and not part of the issue is retarded.

But where is Buttigieg's "attack" on Pence's Christian faith?

If it's up to the people to decide about how politicians use their faith to justify any policy they support ~ and both men do, it would seem ~ then what has Buttigieg done wrong? What is Pence on about?
