I miss the old emoticons

...especially the "rolling eyes" one. (This --> 😵 <-- is not close to the same thing.)

I miss them all...they were unique...these are boring as all get out.

The current emoticons are just a few from the defined standard.

How can I know my intended emotion is being conveyed to my audience if their device gets to change the face?

I'm on Windows 7 (where practically everything shows up as a box and the ones that don't are unclear) and also on Android (where the new ones are OK) so it's both good and bad for me. I seriously miss being able to do them with a couple of keystrokes, though. It's a bit sad that we're all becoming so undifferentiated in this new homogenised world.
