It is like artificial tendons. Auxetic means it thickens as it is stretched.

I can't scroll to the bottom, seems stuck. Can you go there and scroll down? I want to figure out if it is just me on my end. Thing is, it is only that site I get the problem.
So I can't say which effect we are talking about because I could not read the whole thing.

But it does say ' thicken on a molecular level' but doesn't say if that is a viscosity thing or a literal thickening, getting larger.

Here's a quote from the article:

"When we stretch conventional materials, such as steel bars and rubber bands they become thinner. Auxetic materials on the other hand get thicker.

which implies they are talking about the width. I had no problems reading the article, it sounds as if the browser on your device isn't completing the download.

Yes, I use chrome and the little circle thing above the piece just keeps circling. But why just that one site?

Used IE and went to phys.org and it works fine there. What's up with that? Chrome working everywhere but one site while IE doesn't have that problem.....

Went to help and it suggested clearing cache and did that to no avail. Wonder if I have to reload Chrome?
