    The quote from John Hawks is pretty spot on. Probably didn't need to paste the entire article.

    Is it mentioned if they were able to isolate DNA? Probably not actually a distinct species from daliensis. More specimens would be needed.

    @Duchess64
    Aren't they exaggerating a bit? Sounds like this man wasn't even close to the size of Andre the Giant, and probably smaller than The Rock. So what's the big deal? But it would be cool if he was the original "Hercules".

    The difference between early hominids and modern humans is so great that it would take about 5 different missing links to explain it via evolution. Considering that we haven't yet found a single missing link, and the fact that humans stand out of nature like confused aliens with dangerously clever minds, the most logical theory so far is that we are a genetic hybrid between primitive ape-man and those advanced 'extra-terrestrials' also known as Gods. We are a genetically modified version of primitive ape-men -- modified in the image of advanced aliens.

    That was my immediate thought as well. It's all a bit too convenient and they're all a bit too eager. Let's see some third party checks before we write whole articles in a scientifically dubious newspaper.

    There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4 KJV)

    For Duchess to assume that a silly-looking rabbit covered in hayseeds knows nothing about evolution wold be an incorrect assumption.
    There are 2 kinds of evolution: Natural evolution and artificial evolution. Natural evolution for complex animals is very, very slow -- like millions of years -- or to be more precise, slower than a snail on a trans-Siberian highway. Artificial evolution, on the other hand, can be over a billion times faster and can be accomplished by genetic engineers.

    So when human evolution cannot be logically explained by natural evolution, the only logical explanation left is artificial evolution, something which has been concluded by several scholars and scientists who are probably even smarter than a silly-looking rabbit covered in hayseeds.
