    Anyone know what the field strength is in terms of Gauss or Tesla?

    From the original paper (DOI: 10.3847/2041-8213/aa697f):

    Actually the spatial variation of the field has been measured using the intensity distribution of the UV-radiation of Hydrogen. The variation of field strength in the so called transition region is in the Order of 10 to 100 Gauss.

    @Ponderable
    That sounds like a low power field.
    I was hoping for a tesla or so.
