in the six towers, seven of the die show 14 pips
6*14*7 = 588.
The total for the top die therefor, must add up to 112.(700-588)
The sides add up to 84 therefor the top pips must achieve a total of 28.
One combination coud be( 4*6) + (2*2) but this is not the question.
Well done again for the logic used to come up with the answer (6 towers, eight dice each).
I'll be getting the times again tomorrow(I only get one paper a week)so I'll see what the puzzle is and if it's suitable I'll post it.
If anyone else takes the paper, have you ever attempted "the listener" crossword?
