Have some great fun games with Blanca in the Hardcore.
Here are the two most recent ones finished yesterday.
Hope you don't mind me unloading on here but I'm trying to do a
blog review on 'Game Changer' and keep writing myself into a hole.

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. Bxc6 dxc6 {Here we go yet again. Like this because Black never has d5 v my e4 pawn.} 6. d3 Bc5 {Of course if 7.Nxe5 Qd4 0-1. I've not fallen for that one yet...but I will one day.} 7. Qe2 {Now 7...Ng5 8.h3 Nxf2 Rf1 wins a piece for three pawns. Don't know who I prefer there.} 7... Qd6 8. Bd2 h6 9. Bc3 {A wee tickle on the e=pawn to see what happens.} 9... Nd7 {9...Bb4 takes the pressure off. Doubt if I'll go this way again, always experimenting with this opening..} 10. Nbd2 {Trying to get him to play 10...b5 11.0-0 b4 12.Nc4 White is looking very good.} 10... O-O {Now 11,Nc4 wins the e-pawn but I'll keep that idea on the board and play....} 11. g4 {Inspired by AlphaZero - see next blog when it appears. The King. it's always about the King.} 11... g6 {If 12.g5 h5. and now 12.Nc4 gets the e-pawn but let see what happens if....} 12. Rg1 b5 13. Nxe5 {This is all about getting a Knight to f6 with a pawn on e5.} 13... Nxe5 14. f4 {I'm now expecting 14...Nxd3+ 15.cxd3 Bxg1 16.e5 and Nf6. I'll get 0-0-0 with a tempo.} 14... Nxg4 {Never even saw that. It does not interfere with the main plan.} 15. Rxg4 Bxg4 16. Qxg4 Bd4 17. e5 Qc5 18. Ne4 Bxc3+ 19. bxc3 {19...Qe3+ will slow me up. Let's see what happens.} 19... Qe7 {I liked seeing that.} 20. Nf6+ {Plan A achieved. Knights on f6 opens the door on a whole bucket load of traps.} 20... Kg7 21. Kd2 {The King will be OK there.} 21... Rad8 22. Rg1 c5 {Good, he has a plan. He wll/may ignore what I'm up to.} 23. Qh4 {See it. I'm going to play Rg4 then Qxh6 + Rh4+ and Hook Mate. I have got Qh4 with a tempo.} 23... c4 {Really tempted to play Rg4 and go for the Queen sac but he has missed my tempo gaining threat.} 24. Nh5+ {White wins the Queen. 1-0.}

1. d4 Nf6 2. Nc3 {It's not to be a K.I.D. it's a Pirc. I play both and no thinking for first 5 moves.} 2... g6 3. e4 d6 4. f4 {I like to see this. A fighting move. Bravo.} 4... Bg7 5. Nf3 O-O 6. Bd3 Bg4 7. O-O Nc6 8. Be3 Nd7 {A wee kick on the d-pawn, see what happens.} 9. Qe1 {I get it, but I'll get attacked. Have to be careful being attacked in Hardcore.} 9... Bxf3 10. Rxf3 Nxd4 11. Rh3 e5 {React in the centre v a wing attack.} 12. f5 {He's a pawn down so won't want the Queens off (Qh4) Must stop Nd5.} 12... c6 {Nice Pirc move that. Has b5 ideas. Must play on the Queenside.} 13. Qg3 {Here he comes. Might have time for one more Queenside move.} 13... b5 14. Bg5 {Rf1 looks better, get the whole gang attacking.} 14... f6 {Good job I have a pawn on b5 stopping Bc4+ that by the way was a fluke.} 15. Bh6 {15.Qh5 looked better. remembering thinking if he plays it, he plays it. No sense in worrying about now. Take the Bishop and hopefully hang.hang on.} 15... g5 {Keeping things closed, that will slow him up.} 16. Qg4 Bxh6 {A defensive trap. If 17.Qh4 g4 and Be3+ or Qxg4+ Bg7.} 17. Rxh6 Rf7 {Know I'm OK he needs more attackers on the Kingside.} 18. a4 {Trying the d3 Bishop into the game v c4.} 18... a6 {That is not happening.} 19. h4 {Here he comes again.} 19... Rg7 {Looks forced.} 20. Kf2 {Freeing h1 for the a1 Rook. but a wee sneaky trick has appeared..} 20... gxh4 21. Qxh4 Qb6 {Suddenly - who is attacking who. Now will he go to the wrong square.} 22. Ke1 {The wrong square and not playing 14 Raf1 has returned to haunt him.} 22... Nf3+ {Yes...it works.} 23. gxf3 {either that or allow NxQ.} 23... Qe3+ {Pirc players love it when after 4.f4 the weakened e3 square falls.} 24. Ne2 {It matters not. All White's move lead to a quick mate.} 24... Rg1 {And there it is...makes up for a lot of the utter tosh I've playing recently. I'm back...look out.}
