I had some pleasing enjoyment solving a few of the studies in the latest CHESS.
It was part of their Christmas Quiz. One I am using the next blog, this one is also good.

(No composers have been given, maybe they will come with next month's solutions)

White to play and win.

Clue: Reveal Hidden Content
Look out for stalemates. One line ends in a mate in 5 moves.

1. a7 {There are now two lines. Next is 1...Nc6.} 1... Ka6 2. Kb8 Nc6+ 3. Kc7 Nxa7 {A draw? Not quite.} 4. b4 {Black is forced to play either Nc6 or Nc8 and after King takes Knight there is no stalemate.}
