Mine are on a little cat statue holding a dish, by the front door.

Had a friend who use to keep his in the fridge (for security purposes). He also liked to put the cold keys in his pocket when he left for work in the morning. (Not sure of the relevance, but he was French).

We have a cat related place also. It’s a multi-coloured cheery bowl which has cartoon stylised cats drawn on the sides. In it we keep our keys and also a couple of charger packs with the various leads. Sometimes other items get placed into this bowl which causes consternation with beloved who is insistent that only keys, chargers and leads belong in the cat bowl. We have never kept keys in the fridge, but there is further fridge related consternation if I place items on the wrong self within the fridge. Keys, chargers, leads and refrigerated items are housed within quite strict organisational rules in our house.

I leave them in my pockets. Sometimes they are on my nightstand.

Mine live in my handbag, parked on a hallstand by the front door. Husband's are beside it, with his wallet.

Safe enough where we live, but not safe to do in Melbourne, particularly if you own a car worth stealing.

Mine are kept in a large coffee mug on my bureau along with my “flip” phone. “A place for everything and everything in it’s place”. I think I may be OCD.🤔

I like to keep my drivers license, Insurance, money& credit cards in a folder, sunglasses, and keys all in the one place so I use my coffee table. I use to get dirty looks from the better half, but she is ok with it now. Makes more sense then running around looking for everything whenever you go out.

I keep my car key in my personal drawer that’s rammed with all sorts of nonsense. Communal door keys hang behind the kitchen door on strings. Strings are handy for random keys if you’re not carrying a bag.

Keychains work well also if you’re ever out of string.😘

    *humble brag alert!*

i dispensed with having/using keys a few decades ago
if my .357 mag cannot open whatever lock is presented, i don't want the valuables behind said lock
now, it's true the weapon is a tad heavier than a standard set of household keys,

but i've heard exercise is a good thingie

Wise man say, chap who keeps keys in pockets will eventually put them in the washing machine.
