The wasp wants what the wasp wants.
I disagree. A wasp does what a wasp does, wantlessly.

No sir, I’m small town in NI which we call a city.

Obviously a Suzi whoosh moment, why there?
I was stung by a wasp in Mevagissey. I thought maybe the same was happening to you.

How Anglocentric of you. You assume that all the wasps of the world are as narrow-minded as yours.
The troll FMF immediately confirms his abysmal (at best) understanding of British wasps and ignores (I suspect deliberately) that Hitler in fact invented the “global wasp” based on the British design.

I am not "abysmal" in any way. You are mistaken.

    Reminds me of:

"I didn't get nothin', I had to pay $50 and pick up all the garbage."

I think you’ll find the wasp to be far more intelligent than you want to believe.

Wasps nest in all kinds of places but did you know a commonplace for them to nest is in the ground? The great gold wasp burrows in the sand and the mud dauber burrows in mud to build nests. The yellowjacket can make above-ground nests but often they prefer underground for protection.

A story to share with everyone:

As a young boy around 5 or 6 I went blueberry picking with my Aunt. I saw a big cluster of blueberries in a spot on the ground and went to pick them. I stepped on a wasps nest. I don't know how many times I got stung but it hurt like hell, my Aunt was brushing them away from and I was trying not to cry. I must have gotten stung over 12 times and my aunt did also from trying to get them away from me.

She said we have find some mud to put on those stings you got. I said here some here and she said not that isn't the right kind of mud. she finally found what she was looking for which looked to be black in color to me and put it on all the sting spots then put some on her own stings she got while fighting them off of me. It started to cool the stinging almost immediately. She said just leave that on until it dries up and falls away on its own, which I did. I don't know to this day what would have happened if she hadn't gotten that mud on me, she seemed to relax once she found it and applied it to me, then to herself.
