    No, it will turn solid water into liquid water, as heat tends to do with solid materials. The interesting bit is that water is rather special in that its solid phase is lighter than its liquid one - i.e., ice floats - but a lot of it is also on land, like Greenland. Therefore, melting glaciers cause rising seas, not because there is more water, but because more of the existing water is liquid and in the sea.

    It's not hard to understand, really, if you've paid even rudimentary attention in high school physics class. If all you did was look at your classmates' boobs and make fart jokes, it may be beyond you.
