Scott Adams' Dilbert has been in the news of late. Can't say I ever thought much of it. It was never in any newspaper I read. It's in even less newspapers now, all of a sudden.

I never got why it was so widely syndicated.

I liked Giles. But his large single frame cartoons were amusing for their artwork characters and details rather than his gags.

Calvin and Hobbes, obviously. Someone else did a fan fiction add-on called Hobbes and Bacon - only four of them - which is downright heart-warming.

And, as a European, I am by law required to love Asterix. Also, as a pretentious intellectual European, Giraud a.k.a. Mœbius.

To be fair, I guess not all animated shows are really considered "cartoons". That word has the connotation of being made for children, compared to films like "Heavy Metal".

Agreed about Asterix. I read them all in Indonesian 30+ years ago when I was learning the language.

I agree, I plan to show Spawn animated series to my 6 year old niece soon. Or South park.

It's for kids because someone used a pencil to draw characters.

The legend of Vox Machina. Finished second season, wholeheartedly endorse it.
