Princess Diana wore a blue velvet dress when she danced with John Travolta in the White House in November 1985. The occasion was a ball, arranged by Ronald and Nancy Reagan.
But on a recent auction it didn't get any offers close to the expected 250,000 to 350,000 pounds.
Previously, it was auctioned and sold for 200,000 pounds, just two months before Diana's death in a car accident in Paris.

I read, in today's paper, that the person who bought Olivia Newton-John's leather jacket, she wore in the film Grease, has given it to her "cancer hospital".

Something is worth as much as the most willing buyer will give...

I invested in a jar of "gettone telefonico" back in the 1980's. Who knew?
They do look nice on my bookshelf. 🙂

Maybe you could have some sewn on a sports jacket as replacements for buttons? Start a new fashion craze.

Such bottles of wine are either actually drunk or kept as investment.
Sometimes the tastings are disappointing and will obviously affect
the value of other bottles from the same vintage.

Ok, it just never made any sense to be to buy a bottle of wine that couldn't be drank.

Just for people with a lot of money who do it just because they can. Money to burn as they say!
