So what should be done to this teen who seemingly killed her new born and buried it in her yard?

Is this late term abortion or murder?

    Again you leave out details.

She claims that the baby was born stillborn.

Since the kid was born, it wasn't abortion, and since it was stillborn, it wasn't murder.

Authorities have charged her with aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter, gross abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and child endangerment.

If the child was indeed stillborn, then the only charges that seem to hold weight are 'gross abuse of a corpse' and tampering with evidence.

The authorities need to determine when the child died.

According to the article, the infant had trauma to the head.

In either case, it wasn't abortion.

Well today people are advocating for late term abortions.

In other words, they would survive fine outside the womb if born but it is somehow Ok to kill them, just because.

Here is a woman given a 1 year sentence for throwing some new born puppies into a trash bin.

I wonder if she will see a longer jail time than the teen or if the teen will even see jail.

They surely *ought* to be able to tell if it was stillborn. It all stems from there.

If it was stillborn then leave her alone.
    She's been through enough.
If not then obviously it's murder.
Forensics can determine if it was stillborn if it hasn't decomposed too much.
    I didn't read the article.

If there was a body then yes they can but when it's nothing but bones then no.

Skull fractures will be what gets her convicted...maybe.

That can be caused by the birthing process

The question of ‘intent’ will figure in to this. If the baby was indeed dead, but she THOUGHT she was killing, thus intended to kill, they won’t go easy on her

I dunno, could be another Clinton related "suicide".
