    @quackquack
    Just keep up the ultrarightwingnut agenda.

    OF COURSE the US is in EXTREME danger of losing our democracy.

    And putting down those voting restriction laws down to WE WANT VOTER ID
    is just the START.

    It is CLEAR repubs in state legislators are working HARD to eliminate votes from blacks, browns, Asians, immigrants and the like.

    You may want to glide over that FACK JACK but that is the reality of what is going on.
    The goal actually stated is for repubs to take over completely, a COUP where dems are not allowed to have enough votes to overturn republican overloards.

    THAT IS HAPPENING AS WE SPEAK.

    And your REAL goal is to hide that FACT so we will be asleep when the fit hits the shan.

    Are you so narrow minded that any deviation from exactly what you want is the end of Democracy?
    Needing an ID to vote seems sensible. But rather than actually recognize the need to accurately determine who votes and how often, you'd rather allow the system to have rampant fraud if it helps your political goals.
    The truth is we live in a time when there is a lack of consensus on many issues. But your belief that the world as we know it is over if every issue doesn't go your way is a factually false temper tantrum.

    Your democracy is already lost (to a great extent).

    One person one vote? Yet that person’s vote is worth more in a smaller state than in a larger state (seeing that both send equal numbers of senators).

    Lobby companies have far more influence than voters. And for some mad-cap reason, your parliamentery houses tie all sorts of different issues into a single bill, distorting issues and undermining choice.

    It would be nice if people would think before the scream that the world is ending.
    Every state getting two senators hardly seems the end of Democracy. Similarly, lobbying, like unions, are merely groups representing an issue. Surely, the free world isn't ending if people form groups to use their free speech to promote issues.

    Each state getting two Senators isn't the end of Democracy. It isn't new. It actually is a logical way to make sure all regions are represented. Similarly the Electoral College encourages leaders to represent the majority interest in all regions and not just cater to the biggest areas. It's not like large areas such as California don't already make outsized demands to meet their needs. I'd argue none of this is unfair -- it's actually an integral part of our system and it certainly isn't new or the end of Democracy.
