A pleasant fantasy. What comes after him might be no more tractable to reason or international law than the current occupant.

Loose control of WMD's are always a possibility when a major world power suffers a civil calamity.
It's a gamble; a risky one.
But nature abhors a vacuum and post-Putin Russia will present the world with risk and opportunity.
Though perhaps a tad too optimistically, I see an outcome more like 1991 than 1917.
