Don't kill the messenger. This is the same person who said SARS2 is man made. Facebook no longer bans posts claiming SARS2 is man made. You should take Luc Montagnier seriously this time.

“ This is the same person who said SARS2 is man made”
    So another conspiracy theorist then.
Optimum for variation is a stand-off between the virus and the infected immune system so yeah it could facilitate mutation but so could someone with an immune system that naturally contains the virus but does not eradicate it.
So the vaccines will still save a lot more lives and prevent a lot more variants than they will help to generate.

    Don't you watch the news?

It is no longer a conspiracy theory unless you want to admit your hero Fauci and everyone else is a conspiracy theorist. Nobody has found a credible natural link. That points to a man made origin.

You are also poo pooing on a Nobel prize winner. Experts don't matter? Does that mean a bum on the street has an opinion just as credible as anybody's?

I know you present as an arrogant yank but hey this is a global site and 90% of the people on it don’t care who fauci is and even less about what he has to say.
I know your a bit thick but if you read my post I haven’t actually disagreed with the idea of a vaccinated person being host to a mutation.
Are you and your Nobel prize winner both claiming that a vaccinated person is more likely to host a mutation than a non vaccinated person because if you are your both idiots or liars.

Soooooo......... what do you suggest ??
You like to jump up and down and flap your wings.
No vaccine is going to be perfect. But the statistics show that they are effective.
    What is your point ?
What is your motivation in creating these threads and pursuing the endless narratives that they spawn ??

    Yes.
    Read the article.
The Nobel Prize winner you are relying on is now 88 years old and has been spewing out crank ideas in recent years:

" In addition to his support for the controversial “water memory” theory, he explained that African populations would be less vulnerable to AIDS by following a more balanced diet. He also found it possible to treat autism with antibiotics and proposed detection of Lyme disease in the blood using electromagnetic waves.

The straw that broke the camel's back? A projection of the professor against vaccines (already), in 2017. Accompanied by Professor Henri Joyeux, struck off the order of physicians, he then denounced the new vaccine policy of the authorities and assured that it would contribute to "poisoning little by little all the population that will succeed us " . A hundred members of academies of science and medicine had then published a joint text to deplore that Luc Montagnier ventures "outside the scope of his skills" to propagate "messages dangerous for health, in defiance of the ethics which must preside over science and medicine ".

The virologist Vincent Maréchal underlines that Professor Montagnier, now 88 years old, "tends to play with the argument of authority" . To take refuge in a way behind the fame of his Nobel without however highlighting studies and data to support his remarks. From the video, the specialist also retains the "scientific logorrhea" on "the structure of DNA and RNA" , which "does not add anything to the subject" but which seeks to strengthen its stature with the general public for better give credibility to a statement that wants to be very rational.

Finally, note that this video, widely relayed on Facebook pages denouncing health measures and vaccines, was produced by the team behind the "documentary" Hold-Up . Directors who have helped to disseminate and popularize conspiratorial theories around the epidemic, and who repeat today by giving Professor Montagnier a platform to hold a discourse hostile to vaccination."

I'm not sure if there's such thing as a man-made virus, but I will say that the lab-escape theory is gaining much wider acceptance and is hardly a crank theory these days.

While I imagine it was released by mistake, that gain-of-function experiments made the virus more contagious before it accidentally escaped from the Wuhan lab seems eminently possible.

    I am sure.
What do you think a self spreading vaccine is? It is a man made virus. Look up mousepox as well.

Here is a list of some of them. Be sure to notice #6.

Remember what Fauci said to Rand Paul? We don't do gain of function research, but if we did we did it within protocols and it happened in NC, not Wuhan.

LMAO! Someone using the RAIR Foundation as their main source of info for this article complaining about my "source of information" is precious.

Here's an article from 2012 verifying the aged Montagnier's endorsement of crank theories:

"Montagnier is promoting wild theories with little scientific basis, and now he is taking advantage of vulnerable parents (see his appeal here) to push a therapy of long-term antibiotic treatment for autistic children.

This is truly a wacky theory. Montagnier hasn't been able to publish this in a proper journal, for a very good reason: it's nonsense. He claims that quantum field theory - an area of physics in which he has no qualifications - explains how electromagnetic waves emanating from DNA can explain not only autism, but also Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, Lyme disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. Montagnier makes these claims and more in a self-published paper that he posted on arXiv.

This isn't Montagnier's first crazy idea: just a year ago, he claimed that DNA molecules can teleport between test tubes, also based on some kind of quantum hocus pocus. This crackpot claim should have been ignored, and it would have been, if not for the fact that Montagnier is a Nobel laureate. He's also endorsed homeopathy, another quack treatment."

Forbes is an unreliable source of information.

Forbes also put forth a WRONG fact check (opinion piece) that claimed gene therapy had to change a person's DNA. That is FALSE!

You need to do better than a weak confirmation bias from questionable sources. Do yourself a favor and check Forbes' sources of information. They are blogs I have never heard of.

You need to do better than that.
