Here is an excerpt from the link below:

"Denman said he and Berry were contracted by a Florida-based security company, Silvercorp USA, to carry out the operation. The firm is headed by Jordan Goudreau, an American military veteran who has openly admitted involvement in the operation.
The Washington Post has published a document which it says is a contract between Silvercorp and the Venezuelan opposition worth $213m (£170m) to invade Venezuela and overthrow President Maduro."

I sure am curious about Jordan Goudreau. Trump denied involvement even though he openly admitted participating in a coup plot to overthrow the Maduro government, justified it by falsely claiming Maduro was not democratically elected and backed Guido to be a puppet dictator replacement. Many other countries did the same, but most did not.

This should be a big scandal and Jordan Goudreau should be a household name. Instead the corporate news media is largely ignoring the story so we cannot find out more about Jordan Goudreau. This is a lot like Reagan saying he didn't know what Oliver North was doing. Few people believed him, especially after he called North a hero even though he was dealing hard drugs to raise money to buy weapons to send to Iran (effectively arming both sides of the Iran/Iraq war) and Nicaragua.

Does anyone believe Trump when he says he knew nothing about it? What about the CIA? Remember Operation Ajax and the coup in Chile? A pattern has already been established.

@Metal-Brain - ... by falsely claiming Maduro was not democratically elected and backed Guido to be a puppet dictator replacement. Many other countries did the same, but most did not.

BBC made a false statement in saying that the claim that Maduro was NOT the democratically elected leader is false. No, BBC, it is true. Then they cite "many countries" but cleverly don't tell you how many.

Over 50 countries have refused to recognize Maduro as the leader of the country and USA was far from the first to declare such.

The election was rigged. Opposition leaders were thrown in jail or fled for safety in
    neighboring countries.
Right now, opposition members in congress cannot live in their own country.

The fact is, Maduro is just another iron-fisted leftist dictator. That's all.

    Rinse and repeat.

The BBC never made that statement, Jimmy Carter said Venezuela had the best elections in the world.

What is your source of information?
Lots of elections are rigged around the world and the US never does anything about it. Trump and Pence are liars. They only care when trying to overthrow a country with the largest proven oil reserves in the world.

Saudi Arabia is a dictatorship. Do you support overthrowing them?

There is no evidence Maduro rigged elections. You have gossip confused with facts.

Perhaps the British should return what they have stolen and stop blaming socialism for Venezuela's problems.

    https://www.globalresearch.ca/venezuela-launches-london-appeal-battle-1-billion-gold/5724747

Saudi Arabia is a horrible oppressive regime. Is that proof of the failure of capitalism? I think Germany is more socialist than Venezuela and they have a good economy. I guess all that bashing of socialism is just a lot of BS.

Trump once said Bernie Sanders is a Marxist. Trump is full of crap! So is Nikki Haley. They are both liars!

The main opposition coalition had warned that the election would not be free and fair.
It said the poll had been brought forward from December 2018 to take advantage of disarray within opposition ranks and that some of the most promising candidates had been banned from standing or jailed, while many others had fled the country.

65 countries is still a minority. The vast majority of countries did NOT recognize Guido as the legitimate leader of Venezuela. Why would they? He was not elected. There is a name for people who get into power without being elected. It is call "dictator".

Maduro is the legitimate democratically elected president of Venezuela. Carter called Venezuela's elections the "best in the world" in 2012. You need to prove that has changed in some way and you have not done that.

Apparently, you think that throwing your main opponents in the election into jail
and exile is "fair play" in an election!!

    Congratulations, Furor.

It takes a lot to get 65 nations to not respect the outcome of an election in another
country. I know you will never admit that something was terribly wrong with Maduro's
election so I will just leave it as you are a Socialist legend in your own mind.

BTW, the people in Venezuela, the country with the world's largest oil reserves,
are now getting around on DONKEY because they cannot get gasoline!!!

No, YOU google it. Go Socialism!

I think throwing someone who attempted a coup into jail is common sense.

I'm surprised more than 65 nations tried to avoid sanctions and trade barriers to the US by lying in an effort to appease the nation that wields the sanctions hammer on nations that do not comply to the bully nation of the world.

If my government did not have the sanction powers it has it would get zero nations to recognize Guido the wanna be puppet dictator. The US is good at extorting the policies of foreign countries that have a lot to lose if they are not compliant.

Maduro is not a true socialist. His government still has a free market economy. All he did is the same thing FDR did. Is FDR a socialist? You need to learn some political science. You are clueless!

FDR was clearly a SOCIALIST, yes.

ever hear of SOCIAL Security (which isn't)? Welfare? That's FDR. a Socialist. He just didn't go as far as Chavez and Maduro.

Favoring SS makes a person a socialist? By that criteria all democrats are socialists, except Biden. He tried to cut SS, but he just pretends to be a democrat. Biden is clearly a republican.

I have never seen any history book that states FDR was the first socialist president. I certainly do not recall any history book stating that America became a socialist country after multiple terms of FDR as president.

Do you think the USA is a socialist country? If so, explain why I live in a socialist country. This I gotta hear.

I think it is about time you learn the definition of socialism. You clearly have never looked it up.

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/socialism

Notice the definition makes no mention of social programs at all. Are you learning where you went wrong yet? You assumed something that is not the case.
