If you take Economics in school, everyone says they are taking "Econ 101".

NOT "Econs 101", even though Economics ALSO ends with an S.

As I said, we improved on the crap usage of English by the English.

Nobody says econ 101.
Everyone says “economics”.

And before you give me some crap reason like "the -ium ending is common for elements", then explain to me why you are perfectly happy saying "molybdenum".

Nobody’s happy saying molybdenum.

And you pronounce aluminum differently than you spell it. It’s not rocket science.
