Wajoma loves to insist that employers should have about absolute power over employees.
That's your dream feelings D, I have never said that because I do not believe that.

But if you can please provide some verbatim quote here, it can be addressed.

All employers have the right to set the rules for employment, and you have the right to tell them to shove the job, that's the land of the free.
You're going to blow their brains with too much logic and reality.

    Keep it up.

"Why should I have to work on stilts? the women fighting sexist dress codes
Too many female employees are forced to wear high heels, or skirts,
or even a particular type of bra. But the resistance is growing"

Bruce Jenner has the same problem. Red suede pumps are just so 2011! and those bras from Secrets in Lace give off such sexist vibes, not to mention the hungary stares from those savage construction workers. What's a crossdresser to do?? 😲
    Who's Bruce Jenner?

I think it is reasonable for a business to expect an employee in a customer facing role to wear concealed underwear, e.g. women to wear a bra which is the same colour as their shirt. It is unreasonable to insist women wear make up, high heels, skirts or long hair. Similarly it is unreasonable to insist men wear neck-ties when women don’t have to. In fact I won an small victory in my workplace of many years ago on the necktie thing.
So why should women have to wear high-heels when men don't have to?

Most of the time women CHOOSE the clothes that are revealing and then complain when men look at them.
What does this have to do with the topic of employee dress codes?

some of it may well be required by the government.. say OSHA perhaps telling you, that you must wear safety glasses or steel toed boots? We call a lot of it common sense in most cases.
Common sense has to often be enforced.

    Sounds like government regulations there!

Good point though suzi, when I do an internet search for 'Bruce Jenner' I get a lot of links to some obvious drag queen calling himself Caitlyn.

And you've really got to dig to find info about the fatal motor vehicle accident, what have they done to the internet?

    (Suzianne replied to Mchill.)

Mchill evidently finds it very painful to accept, if he even can, the existence of transgender women.

It seems extremely hard for many men to accept that
    someone who was acclaimed
as the world's greatest male athlete prefers to live as a woman.

At some point Bruce Jenner decided to be Caitlyn, that does not erase his life up until that point.

It's suzi that is having the problems.

    How disingenuous!

In fact, Mchill wrongly and offensively refers to Bruce Jenner
in the present tense, not the past.
Mchill refers to Jenner (now a woman) as a 'crossdresser'.

    Mchill's transphobia is obvious.

    Why?
That is what we are debating isn't it?

If every employer insisted on females wearing high heels is that OK?
How about insisting that every fat WASP have to wear a corset?
Is there anyone here to play wolfgangs stupid 'what if' games?

What if gravity failed in the one particular spot you occupied wolfgang, and you floated out into space to be with your ideas? What then?
