I find it a tad odd...

A Big Wig democrat kanoodles a racist right winger (Bibi) and is not anti-racism.

@Duchess64 - President Biden's continuing (so far) President Trump's extreme policies on behalf
of Israel and against the Palestinians, Iran, and China.

    -------------

I don't know about the future of the Palestinian policy, or the Iran policy, for that
matter, but the China polices will get worse, if anything.

I just read that there is talk about the US boycotting the 2022 winter Olympics set
for Beijing. That would surely bring many western countries with them.

@Duchess64 - In retrospect, most American athletes wish that they could have gone to Moscow.

I thought it was very wrongful to do. Some athletes trained for 4 years for those games, all for naught. That was a tragedy for those people.

You pointed out countries that did *not* join the US in the boycott and the UK was a huge surprise to me.
Truth be told, your portrayal of countries is not telling the whole story, surprise surprise. --- From wiki:
The governments of the United Kingdom, France, and Australia supported the boycott, but left any final decision over the participation of their country's athletes to their respective NOCs and the decision of their individual athletes. The United Kingdom and France sent a much smaller athletic delegation than would have originally been possible. The British associations that governed equestrian sports, hockey, and yachting completely boycotted the 1980 summer Olympics.

The post that was quoted here has been removed
shoot, I remember Coe v. Ovett. Man did they hate each other. And there was a
stretch of time where they were breaking each other's world record in the 800 multiple times.

Your post here is really an excessive attempt to winning some sub argument here.
It is what it is... partial support to the US boycott.

And BTW, what happened in 1980 does not prove what will happen in 2022, it was
only brought up by me as a matter of interesting discussion. Why you blow things
up to the nth degree like this perplexes me.

    @Duchess64

We notice that the US invaded Afghanistan as well. The US hosted an Olympics in 2002, as well. No protesters?
So maybe the 1980 boycott was more an anti-Soviet expression.

Protesting slavery and genocide would get more participants than protesting an invasion of a country (Afghanistan). That's what I think
